Common products and services sold door-to-door include:

• Energy and utilities — switching customers to a new gas, electricity, or broadband provider
• Home improvements — initial appointments for kitchens, windows, solar panels, and driveways
• Financial services — insurance, funeral plans, savings products

You are typically paid a commission per sale or per appointment generated, with some roles offering a basic retainer or daily allowance on top.
