A strong sales designer is not just someone who can use design software. They need to:

- Present a design that addresses the brief and generates emotional investment from the customer
- Close confidently without being pushy — the best designers make closing feel natural

Do candidates need product-specific design experience?

Not always. Strong sales designers who have worked in kitchens can transition to bathrooms, fitted furniture, or windows with product training. What is harder to train is the sales and rapport-building ability. We tell you honestly whether a candidate's transferable skills make them viable for your specific product.

How do you test close rates?

We ask for specific conversion data - appointment-to-order rate, average order value, highest week or month, and their approach to customers who say they need to think about it. We probe the data, not just accept the claim.
